Q: How do I get to Gallen III?
A: There's a couple of ways.
(1) WITHOUT SHIP: This is the easiest way, but it will also cost a little bit of money to do it. From Omni Station, take the station transfer to the ALEPH voidgate. At the Aleph voidgate, you can then use the GATEWARP to transfer to Nabian. Once you're at the Nabian voidgate, you can TAKEOFF to Gallen Station. Gallen Station has a station transfer to the Gallen III planet.
(2) WITH SHIP: This way will take longer, but it is free! Board your ship and launch, and use STARCHART GALLEN to locate the Gallen system's location from where you are. Fly there, locate Gallen Station, dock at it and then take the station transfer down to the planet.
SHIP QUESTIONS
----------
Q: How do I get the coordinates of a specific station?
A: If you have already been on board the station, it will show up on your STATIONS list. If not, you have to fly around the zone it is in and scan your SHIP BEACON until you find it.
Q: How do I land on a planet?
A: Outside of specific story quests, you normally cannot land on a planet. You have to dock at the zone's station, and use the station transfer to get there instead.
Q: I'm stranded in space, what can I do?
A: You can read over HELP RESCUE and see if that can assist you. If you are in the middle of space on your ship at the time, it will be left behind however. See the next question!
Q: My ship is lost in the middle of space, how can I get to it?
A: You can request a tow from the insurance office, check HELP INSURANCE.
Q: My ship is too heavy, I can't launch from the station!
A: You probably need to offload some of your cargo to the station. Check SHIP CARGO to see what you are carrying, then you can CARGO STORE <#> <item> to transfer it to the station. This will cost a nominal amount of marks, and you need to have the marks in your 'cargo' subaccount: MARKS MOVE <#> TO CARGO. You can read HELP SHIP CARGO and HELP MARKS for more information.
Q: How do I buy new supplies like ammo and repair kits for my ship?
A: You can put your ship into the ship forge while it is docked to purchase items for it. While standing on your ship while it's docked at a station, simply do SF ENTER. Read HELP SHIPFORGE for more information.
Q: How can I let my friends come onto my ship?
A: The easiest way is to ALLY your friend, and then they can SHIP BOARD <yourname>. For wider permissions, such as letting anybody in your faction come on board for example, you will want to look at the PERMISSIONS command. Once you have a permission set up, you can set it on your ship using SHIP BOARDPERMS <permission name>.
