10.1 Quests
In Starmourn we have many types of quests, nearly all of which involve denizens (a.k.a. mobs or NPCs). Quests may be simple (locating and delivering an item) or quite complex (with many steps, puzzles, etc., that might take days or weeks to complete). They are numerous and may be found all over the sector. The most basic quests, such as those found in adventurer cities and newbie areas, are simple to discover and relatively easy to complete. Simply GREET the denizens you meet, and you may often be presented with a dialogue system in which you will be offered a quest. When you accept, it will be added to your quest log (see HELP QUEST LOG). Do as you have been instructed, and you will gain a reward in the form of experience, marks, or sometimes something else! As you progress in Starmourn, quests may become more difficult to discover. You will need to look for clues in what denizens have to say, and even carry on conversations with them before they will offer you a quest. Other clues might be found in datashards or other writings that you can READ. Read everything carefully: the appearance of each room you enter, the descriptions of the denizens you meet, and the datashards you may happen across in your adventures throughout the galaxy. Searching out quests is a worthwhile use of your time. For every first completion of a quest, as well as completing a quest that has not been done by anyone else in a while, you will see an increase in the reward. Limitations on Quests --------------------- Quests are for individuals or groups to challenge and to attempt to overcome. The answers are not for sharing, buying, or selling, and there may be serious consequences for those who do so anyway. The exception to this is starter quests, which are simple quests available to everyone, but intended for newbies and others unfamiliar with our quest system. Starter quest information is already given out in HELP STARTER QUESTS and is not restricted as with other types of quest.
