8.4.2 Captaincy

The Captaincy skill is a general skill that all players have access to. It enables you to pilot different classes of starship, fully utilize all manner of weapons and equipment, and perform more complex space maneuvers.


Captaincy XP

Rising in the Captaincy skill is not accomplished by spending lessons and learning from NPCs or other players. Instead, you gain Captaincy XP by using the skill - engaging in activities that challenge your ability. Specifically, space combat and mining activities. As your Captaincy XP increases, so will your skill level, and you will gain access to new abilities. You will be credited with a portion of all Captaincy XP you earn as regular experience.
