The JoyCo Tent and Xenozoology.

Hi, friends!

Just a few announcements to make! Long spiel ahead, so please bear with me.

First, regarding Joy Company's swap shop tent: it wasn't so long ago that Orrin posted about the tent, so it's probably still fresh in the public's mind. Just in case, the tent is located at the trade terminals in Omni Station and you can ENTER the tent to see what we have available. You just have to browse the various containers and shelves. It's a great resource for new and returning spacers because we try to keep MIL 1 and 10 weapons in stock, as well as an assortment of clothes just in case you wake up from cryo naked! If you need any help with it, or don't see what you need, don't hesitate to ask either Orrin or I.

BUT the reason for my post isn't about new and returning spacers - it's about established spacers! Did you know that the tent often has things that are of interest to those of higher MIL as well? If I craft an extra lamp I don't need, I drop it in the swap shop. If I find armor I don't want, I toss it in the swap shop. Any mods I get go directly to the swap shop! Extra leesa that won't fit in my shop? Yep, it goes to the swap shop! Don't assume that there's nothing you might want there, stop by every once in a while and rifle through the place. You might find some things you need or want. I also just like to think it's a pretty cool place to hang out, come say hi!

(Just please be kind and courteous and don't take things you don't need to make a profit! We operate by the honor system, and we are just trying to make the sector a better place!)

Secondly, regarding xenozoology: if you're not familiar with the practice, you can go visit Chaetia, located west from the central hub of Omni Station. She will teach you all about it! Xenozoology is especially useful for new spacers because you get two lessons for each creature you scan, and scanning also helps everyone else - we get to learn more about the exciting creatures of the sector! If you're interested in learning more or getting one on one help, feel free to join my xenozoology clan - just tell your mindsim JOIN XENOZOO - the clan is open induction!

Scanning passive animals is easy enough, but it's not so easy to scan the bitey ones. I am always willing to help people scan aggressive creatures, just send me a message or a tell. I also have all of the fish breeds currently known in the sector, including one that's one of a kind. If you'd like to stop by my ship to scan them all you could get a grand total of 92 lessons just by scanning my fishies! I don't charge and it is my pleasure to let anyone scan, xenozoology should not have a paywall! Again, just send me a message or tell and I'll be glad to let you on board!

Have a bright day!
