6.10.1 Armor
Body armor in Starmourn has advanced far beyond the clumsy, wearable pieces of shielding used in millenia past. A standard feature of wetwiring is an integrated base layer of nanite armor which covers the body like a near-invisible second skin. This base layer can then be upgraded and modified with various components that are purchased in shops, dropped by NPCs, or obtained by completing quests. In the case of B.E.A.S.T. suits, an external frame is also integrated into this base layer, to which components can be welded. Like clothing, all body armor components are manufactured with SmartCore technology, allowing them to adapt to any physique regardless of size, shape, or number of appendages. However, different grades of armor (light, medium, heavy) are still restrained to particular classes, as seen in HELP ARMOR SELECTION. Some of the basic commands you will need for viewing and using your armor: ARMOR LIST [INV] [SLOT] List all worn or inventory armor. ARMOR RESISTANCES [INV] [SLOT] Summarize resistances of armor. ARMOR PROBE <item/slot> See armor details. ARMOR UPGRADE <slot> WITH <rep> Replace a piece of armor with another. You can also see what your armor looks like with LOOK ME. Each piece of armor has a set of resistances to particular damage types and, if modded, damage sources. When attacked with most abilities, the resistance to that particular attack is calculated using the average resistance of all your armor. Certain abilities target specific parts of the body, causing only certain armor slots to apply their resistances. See HELP DAMAGE for more information. Armor pieces can be modified through the use of armor mods. Armor mod effects will only apply when the mod is present in the aforementioned body-part scope.
