Greetings people of Starmourn sector,

On this day, the Lockwood Dynasty steps once again into the light, opening its gates to those who wish to become our brothers and sisters.

Boasting a rich history, deep family ties with the galaxy, great ambition and led by the last two surviving family members, Desmond and Katherine, Lockwood seeks to become a seat of power in the system in regards to areas such as Economy and Intelligence.

The Mercantile branch, focusing on trading and economy as well as the development of the corporation through financial means and expansion is the legacy branch and seeks to reunite Lockwood Corp into a strong entity with endless possibilities.

The Intelligence branch focuses on information, ops, politics and diplomacy and knows well enough that knowledge is power and that the best way to watch a show is, most of the time, from behind the curtains. As such, this branch offers a career path for those looking for the comforting shadows more than the blazing spotlight.

Lockwood offers a progression based ranking system, focused on merits and involvement as well as loyalty and aims to become a structured environment with clear roles, paths, regulations and opportunities as well as events and contracts. Should one be interested in offering their pledge to Lockwood, they should seek Katherine or Desmond Lockwood.

Since words are hardly enough at times, we are prepared to offer you access to our VR archives so you may see history with your own eyes:

//With that last word, a holographic AI spins upwards, creating a 3D dome and saying: "Welcome to the Lockwood Archives, commencing playback"//

---=========---

Many moons ago two humans met by chance at a Gala on Reynolds Space Station..

It was an evening with a clear sky, the galaxy bringing its usual song of silence. The CEO of Lockwood Corp, in his youth at the time, stepped off a transport shuttle, escorted by his elite guard and the board members of the corporation he inherited by birthright.

He stopped only for a brief moment to admire the clear sky on the landing pad before slowly taking confident steps towards the entrance. A vehicle waited for him on the other side and he stepped in, along with the board members, while his escort rode hover-bikes on the side.

He was lost in thought, imagining the possible outcome of this evening for it was dedicated to the sale of one independent corporation's assets in the Glisal II. One smooth drive away from the deal that would change the future of Lockwood Corp but little did he know just how it would change him.

---

Arriving earlier that evening, a Guardian of Celestine, as well as established "fixer" and intelligence specialist, named Alexandra Irwin, stepped confidently off her transport craft, accompanied by two figures wearing long cloaks and who knows what arsenal hidden underneath.

She was a red haired human with a slender aspect and the eyes of a raven as she took small, muffled steps towards the entrance to the reception. A wave of her hand and the two figures trailing her soon vanished, only to grapple over rooftops and monitor her position. She hired a private transport and drove silently towards the same Gala, a hint of concern in her mind.

"Would it all go as planned? Would this sale benefit the Ascendancy in any way? Or would it strengthen Scatterhome? Who was this businessman rumored to splash the marks on such a sale and was he an agent of the Scatters? Or was he a legitimate mogul?" - She somehow doubted the last part.

---

Later that evening, over a few drinks and a few discussions over economical development, shares, stock prices, expansion and financial quotas, Richard Lockwood was feeling right at home. He was idly sipping a glass of fine wine as his blue suit and tie fit him like a glove. He was seen as calm yet ruthless in his negotiating skills, a fine gentleman and an educated businessman.

Meanwhile, the one called Alexandra Irwin was watching from a corner, always tapping the underside of her right wrist to activate one of the numerous bugs she had placed all over the location. She did not trust the Scatters, yes she was a human but she was raised in Celestine and would not have had it any other way.

After an exchange of pleasantries and a round of exceptional food and drinks, the interested parties started their bids and negotiations for the takeover and Richard Lockwood could not be matched. Not a frown on his face as he brought down competitor and competitor until he was the last one still up to match the needs of the seller.

Thus, his competitors left, one by one, until the moment came when the papers were brought in to be signed. It was that moment that led to their meeting, in an attempt from the experienced Irwin to plant a bug on his jacked by pretending to fumble and spill her drink.

Alas, Richard was no fool, he had noticed her before and he knew from the glint in her eyes that she could be trouble yet he was so entranced by her that he could not bring himself to confront her or send his security detail her way. And so, she fumbled and fell, he caught her and their eyes met and even the seasoned intelligence officer, with all her training and calculated coldness, could not deny the bond they shared.

---

Such was the meeting of chance that led to a marriage and the arrival of 3 children, two females and one male. They were named, Desmond, Rebekah and Katherine Lockwood, bearing the family name resulted from the unexpected union of one of the most important CEOs in the Galaxy, from Scatterhome and a Celestine Guardian with a full plate on her hands and the envy of many for her prowess.

Suffice to say, the deal that night worked on both fronts for Richard Lockwood, who had increased the size of his empire considerably and had met "the most enchanting woman in the galaxy".

---

In time though, things got rough for the family and it all started with Rebekah being captured by slavers in open space, never to be heard from again and being lost to the family who had one single motto "Always and forever".

The grief did not break them though, that was not the melting point. They loved their children, raised them, all the while finding more and more ways to get involved with the galaxy, some more noble and some more ...shadowy. Their real allegiance was never found out though many speculated that they might have held ties to the darkest, deepest, corner of the galaxy.

Due to their duties, the two lived separately for their daily lives. The father running his corporation from Scatterhome while the mother ran her business from under her cover as a Dregs Doctor while holding her strings to the galaxy in her hand.

Then, one day, the fated day...came on both fronts

---

Back at the moment when the Gala happened and they met, a Song commander had been there with the interest of acquiring the assets and turning them into a strategic base of operations against the other factions. Military reasons were on his mind and, due to Alexandra's networks and intel, he was ousted and forced to leave in shame.

He could not stand by this, vengeful of a man as he was and he hated both of them. "What if the Lockwood Corp would crumble and I could get my hands on all those assets and take revenge on that pompous ass with his self-righteous attitude? And what if I could shoot two birds with one stone and kill that scum of a Guardian that tricked me out of expanding my empire?"

His empire, indeed. As even the Song had ousted him once they found out he was scheming to develop his own personal army and prepared for treason.

Thus, an angry soul with a drive for revenge and an army of pirates, planned the biggest move for vengeance he could possibly imagine. On that day, the fated day, a swarm of pirates, activating a teleportation device, rushed straight inside Lockwood Corp during a board meeting and gunned down every single member while a beta team waited in their cloning facility and made sure to erase all data so they would be lost forever.

In Celestine, at the same time, a group of assassins snuck into the Lockwood home, slaughtering the innocents that had come for a visit at the famed doctor, Alexandra Irwin, caught her by surprise and, after many of them fell, she did as well, a knife to the back sealing the deal as another beta squad laid waste to the cloning facility nearby, setting it ablaze.

---

All that remained of the family crumbled, the world dimmed out for the two who had lost both their parents in a single day, their empire and their sister to slavers.

How did they survive you wonder? They were sent off world to meet at Omni station and discuss plans for the corporation and the mother's intel that day. A thing that Mollivar did not account for in his attempt to erase the Lockwood name off the face of the earth.

His victory was half bitter and he killed his second in command in an unending rage, swearing that he would finish the job one day. Little did he know that the two, Desmond and Katherine, would grow and develop in their parent's memory and that they were poised to make it their goal to bring him down for his crimes.

And thus, a story of right and wrong ends with a tale of two brothers, dead set in restoring a family name that meant something across the galaxy, that inspired and thrived and that--
Well, nothing would ever stop them from chasing every shadow in the galaxy, the deepest darkest corner, to fulfill "everything" that their parents wanted to, no matter the cost, no matter how dark, no matter how lost.
