For this month's promo, we are doing Something. Completely. Different.
As of right now, all* promo artifacts are now available for purchase with bound credits.

(*There are a few exceptions in the case of a handful of artifacts that were particularly special, artifacts activated by bodymods (as these are spawned as items) or artifacts that we do not wish to proliferate further pending changes. But like... all bar very few.)
As you're all probably aware, we're a very small team. Most of us are volunteers and those of us who do get paid do not earn even nearly enough to live on solely, let alone for the amount of hours we do. As such, we really need to be able to generate a basic level of income each month in order to keep going.
The rate at which we're having to generate new promo items to try to tempt you with is unsustainable, and frankly we'd much rather be creating content for everyone to enjoy! The idea of a Patreon of sorts was bandied about, but actually... we have such a thing already, it just hasn't been that exciting... yet.
...for May, we want to try to recruit as many of you as possible to choose an IRE Elite Membership. It's our hope that sufficient Membership figures would be a great way for us to generate a modest but steady influx of revenue, but we cannot achieve this without your help!
As your dev team, we want the opportunity to work on the content that brings us joy, and experience has taught us that that is the content that ends up bringing you all the most joy, too. We are strong believers in a fair gameplay experience where Free to Play players have the same access to items as those of you who are gracious enough to spend real money with us. We'd like you to consider the Membership as sort of like an in-house alternative to Patreon: a great way to show your support, keep us chugging along, and get some fun bonuses along the way.
So, of course, we are bringing some new changes live to Memberships to sweeten the deal:
MEMBERSHIP DAILYBONUS LIST will show some new options you have for your
dailybonus. Beyond the tired "5 lessons a day", we now have:

expchip - an experience augmentation chip
captaincy - a captaincy experience augmentation chip

MEMBERSHIP WARES is currently empty but will very soon be populated with

a discount if purcaseable elsewhere) with Membership Credits every month.
We're also hoping to offer some discounted artifacts!
MEMBERSHIP BONUS LIST will show options for passive bonuses. Currently this
is only an exp bonus, but we're hoping to add different options to this.
We'll be adding a members' OOC channel in-game and on Discord, and putting up
exclusive polls for you to vote on certain developments!
As well as all of this, you'll still get an exp bonus of 5%-25%, a 10% bonus on credit purchases (excluding the no-brainer deal) and 100-150 bound credits every month, and the sweet sweet knowledge that you are keeping our beloved game afloat, (which is obviously the most important thing).
There will also hopefully be lots more fun treats especially for members to be thrown at you at random! We are plotting.

MISSION CONTROL

Mission Control is still a go, with batteries available on the website and missiles to be collected in-game (or as your new membership perk!) for those of you who'd rather try your hand at getting things that way, and we still plan on keeping the tables fresh and full of fun loot.
There are a few fun new items this time around!
MindSim tell modulators
These consumable little MindSim chips give you a 1hr effect to your tells. For voice tells these will be in the flavor of your message. For text tells this will be in spectacular, multifaceted colors!
- MS INSTALL MODULATOR will use them up, and then the duration left will be
shown in CHIP SHOW.
- You can stack more than one of the same type to extend the duration, but
can't stack different kinds.

This invisible forcefield makes you immune to mechanical weather effects without the use of bulky protective gear.
Custom Trade Terminal Message (custom_tt_msg)
Allows you to customize the message that appears on your parcels, or when items are purchased in your player shop! One arti covers all of your shops, and allows for different messages for each shop, which appear in your purchased color (if you have one).
The random artifacts on the table have all now been updated, and will now pull from the actual artifact list, so you could literally get any artifact at all. Value brackets are as follows:
Minor < 250cr
Small >= 250cr and < 800cr
Large >= 500cr and < 1200cr
Major >= 1000cr
