October... a rare month for spacers...
It's that SPOOOOOPY time of year, and have we got a month for you?! (hint: we have).
===Rapadruk===
Introducing Rapadruk, the Krona festival of the dead which lasts a Gunurashian month and is celebrated once every four galactic years.
Once only celebrated by Krona, the festival has gained sector wide popularity in recent times, with many people emulating the traditional Drukpyr (a lantern made from the exoskeleton of a giant Tarak beetle's head) by carving pikatos to bear grisly, illuminated faces.
Elder Druk is a legendary figure, bearing a blackened mukblud, who is said to to ride on the back of a gigantic Tarak Beetle (her name is Nidra, which means 'night' in Kronan), raising the souls of the dead as they travel, creating a rampaging army of mayhem that reaches its culmination with a huge and riotous final celebration at the end of the festival known as Nidrak-Bek - Night of Souls .
The parade of Elder Druk and their army of mayhem are said to give out sugary and spicy treats to raise the pulses and therefore the appetite for chaos in the people they pass, and therefore its traditional to give and receive candy and foods as spicy as possible during this time.
Which means it's the perfect time for the appearance of...

Play your favorite game of chance, Mission Control, with NEW spoopy flavor! OooOooOoo! As always, we have some new (and old) prizes for you:
- New artifact: The Deployable Training Drone! Hats off to Domin for this one! This is a training dummy, but for SPACE! When you link this artifact to your ship, a drone controller will appear on the bridge which can be interacted with via TURN to select a shielded or unshielded drone, and PUSH to spawn it.
- New artifact: Memorial Haunting! For Hardcore players, this will let you specify a spoopy action and speech to deliver periodically at your memorial. So spoopy.
And for the fun items...
- a zipped up HugTech costume carrier
Long and bulky, this costume carrier vacuum-packed and made from black nanoplastic, the HugTech logo emblazoned on the front in holographic gold. A zip down the front allows access to the costume contained within, which is currently obscured from view. Printed in various sparkly colors all over the rest of the cover are beetle head lanterns, splatters of fake blood and the shapes of various ghostly and eldritch figures.
- a box of spooky Rapadruk decorations
A macabre assortment of decorations in classic Rapadruk style have been arranged enticingly in this box, visible through a transparent window. A large logo on the top right front corner indicating that this is "Candy Dan's Riotous Rapadruk Spangle Fandangle Kit!", the rest of the box decorated with sparkling tarak beetles and wailing ghostly figures.
- a plain pikato?
Moderately sized and a wonderfully inviting shade of rustic orange, this pikato has been engineered with nano-enzymic regeneration capabilities for endless artistic opportunities.
- a weirdly pulsating ship customization chipset
Looking like a weirdly misshapen chunk of uncanny flesh, this small chipset has a biometric pad on its underside, the skin on its top side slightly hairy, revoltingly soft, a little clammy and seemingly pulsating. Underneath the bio-pad is a small red logo that reads: "Rapadruk Shipzine 964 A.E. - Your Worst Nightmare!", with a very subtle embossed 'F' underneath.
- a 'Rapadruk' special issue of Eat The Rich
This particular special issue appears to be based on the Krona holiday Rapadruk, and it is filled with gore and viscera aplenty. Eat the rich indeed. This is a zine, with special customization options!
- a small box draped in shadow
This plastic box seems innocuous at first glance, before the recipient spies the fangs, shadows, and otherwise dastardly air of intrigue that hangs around it. A small holo-screen on the surface of the lid activates on touch.
