Weapon Damage Artifacts.

Greetings, Sector

Weapon damage artifacts are no longer linked to a weapon mod slot. Your single damage artifact will now apply to all your damage dealt, whether that damage is sourced from a weapon or not.

Since there is no longer any need for multiple weapon artis, existing weapon damage artifacts can be traded in for a full refund. This does not apply to weapon damage artifacts purchased after this announcement.

The reasoning for this change is simple and most of you who have been around awhile will understand it. We have big plans for weapon mods and the artifact has always been in the way of a great modding experience. Additionally, requirements for the artifact depending on which class you happen to be very imbalanced (thinking of you, BEAST).

There are some ripple effects to this change that will need to be monitored, namely an increase of damage on abilities that previously had no linked weapon, such as Plasmacasting. We're ever monitoring!

Take care,
Neritus
