Horny Fossil Design.

Hey there Sector,

Today I bring you a grand opportunity, and officially sanctioned (it's not sanctioned) V'lani design contest! A chance to flex your creative muscles, to perhaps experience a jaunt back in time to an ancient culture. And maybe, if you're lucky, a chance at winning marks!

So research am I right? A great grand ole chance to learn maybes about probablies and if you're lucky eventually find out something for sure from a long time ago. But I'd like to take this one step further and bring one of those maybe possiblies to the now.

If you search through your museum records you'll (hopefully) find Fossil record 8 from Jelle. If you cannot - this was a brief description of what I saw -

a Sineif's riinto
you can see grooves and creases pattern the surface of this prehistoric pale green-gray xerophyte, rising like two twisting spirals in what we've already excavated

SO beyond the obvious potential uses and benefits of a fleshy I suggest that they may have perhaps been dried and used as tools. OR more importantly here, as wearable horns. Which is where the contest begins. Obviously sourcing any authentic specimens would be a challenge, but I challenge any designers in the sector with creating a wearable design in the likeness of the plant. The two twisting spirals spoke to me as an obvious horned-hat design, but there is no hat requirement as I know many of you have a far greater vision than I. Keep in mind Jelle homes many Nath-el and perhaps a design that is particularly accommodating to their physiology would make sense.

Due to a charitable donation from an eager third party I have a prize pool to play around with! As of right now I'll likely be final say on the voting based on my to yet be done research into ancient Nath-el customs and style.

1st place - 600,000 marks
2nd place - 250,000 marks
3rd place - 150,000 marks

If you don't possess the proper licenses to submit and finalize designs by yourself you're welcome to make whatever deals you can make out with someone who can. For this reason each design submission shared with me should include the name of who the design is on behalf of.

I will leave this open for a little while yet so designers have the chance to see it and breath life into some iconic botanical-stylings of the Nath-el ancestors.

I'll make a follow up post when I figure out a suitable end date.

I will personally wear the winning hat!
