We Admin folk considered a bunch of April Fools pranks, but then we decided to stick to fun sillies instead. With that in mind –
Here’s what’s happening in April:
For this first week of April, everyone who logs in will get a unique mask designed with the stars in its eyes (much like us!). Wearing the mask for an extended period of time may induce hallucinations of bygone times and scenes!
We have also brought back Bozo the Bonkers from the most recent Floating Market and gave him a stall on Omni Station. Assist him with some pranking schemes to get a limited run promo item called the Boppersack which you can attack with friends to release a cascade of candies for everyone to enjoy!
And finally, the Hon-En-Tur Exaltation would like to share the following message:
Greetings.
My name is Itchikaniti and I have received authorization to share some news with the sector on behalf of the Hon-En-Tur Exaltation.
Some spacers may have been affected by a recent data breach which scrambled and even terminated certain racial genetic markers and data elements for users registered with our INR technology. If your data has been affected, you may experience some strangeness in your next cloning service, including some genetic modifications.
Please do not be alarmed! We are doing everything in our power to address the problem and get all systems running back at full capacity soon.
If you are interested in aiding in these efforts, please come see me at Lamentations on Omni Station. Poffy Tango has offered me some space to work and I’ve been assured that this is an approachable location for many spacers.

Have something nice to say? Go on ‘n say it! You no longer have to wait for annual fanmail in Starmourn to share a nice note with your fellow players.
The new Esteem system allows you to offer praise for other players’ roleplay or to simply share a positive comment or good vibe to let someone know you’re having fun without breaking character to do so. There is no mechanical perk or bonus for sending or receiving Esteem.
All players can send up to 1 Esteem per day, subject to change once the system has time to settle in. (Faction leaders may need more… we’ll see).
The ESTEEM system syntax is as follows:
ESTEEM STATUS – Shows you how many more times you can express esteem for someone today.
ESTEEM <ON|OFF> – Toggle the ability to send and receive esteem (1hr cooldown).
EXPRESS ESTEEM FOR <person> <reason> – Express esteem for another player. Costs 1 esteem charge.
EXPRESS ESTEEM FOR ADMIN <reason> – Express esteem for the Admin team. No charge cost.
ANONEXPRESS ESTEEM FOR <person> <reason> – ANONEXPRESS makes your esteem anonymous and cannot be used for the Admin.
ESTEEM RECEIVED – A list of all the esteem you’ve received.
ESTEEM SENT – A list of all the esteem you’ve sent.
[Note]: Reasons for Esteem are mandatory, will be perpetually visible, and must be between 20 – 255 characters.
The feedback from Esteem is considered fully OOC and should have no bearing upon your character’s actions.
Please keep in mind that this system is intended to foster positive feedback and encouragement between players and also provide a vehicle for positive feedback towards the team without the need to file issues or send awkward OOC messages to the Admin in order to do so. It is not a venue for negative commentary or insults, and the administration will look very poorly on anyone attempting to use it for that.

And with that, another Winterflame season has come to a close! Thank you all for celebrating another warm-hearted winter festival with us here in Starmourn. The SS Ironbeard has already returned home for a much deserved rest, and Factional elements will be slowly put back into storage over the next sync or so.
